PD Series

Winter PD Series: Grants & Project Applications 101

Free Workshop & Supported Work Sessions (Online and In-Person)

Interested in building skills that support your ability to successfully apply for funding, artist residencies, and project opportunities? We’ve got you covered!  We know that the best way to build this toolbox is through practice. We’re teaming up with SDRACC, Vanguard Culture, and knowledgeable community members to get you started and provide real-world application support for their upcoming opportunities. This series includes a virtual workshop overview of successful application practices, and two follow-up working meetings to help artists implement what they are learning. This series will cover general information as well as application processes for:

ENVZN Call-for-Artists (deadline March 1)

Far South/Border North: Individual Artist Grant Opportunity (deadline March 22)

While we are using these two opportunities as skill-application tools, you do not need to apply for these opportunities to take advantage of the workshop or working sessions! We will cover: analyzing applications, artist statements, writing project descriptions and narrative responses, cv and resume editing, selecting appropriate/strong work samples, and more.
