With a global crisis turning society on its head, Season 2 has to be about facing the challenges of our current experiences with flexibility and ingenuity. We believe that movement art and practice are paramount in times such as these. We are adapting our programming with the intention to cultivate connection, resilience, and opportunities for engagement in challenging times.

  • S P A C E Alliance Accelerated Residency

We are providing movement artists the same opportunity for a cooperative studio residency program, but in a shorter period of time. This concentrated schedule comes as a response to the COVID19 pandemic. Application Period: April 20 - May 15

  • current

While current was intended for live performance, through virtual rehearsals and artistic reframing, a dance film iteration of the show is being developed in response to the COVID19 pandemic. The work will be delivered directly to your living space between April 30 - May 2, 2020.

  • Choreo & Skate

The inaugural iteration of our Choreo & _____ idea where dance and activities collide, Choreo & Skate was a combination of short dance performances by local movement artists and an open skate session at Skateworld San Diego on March 1, 2020. We look forward to a time when we can Choreo & ______ again!

  • Training Opportunities

We are committed to offering San Diego movers high quality dance training opportunities. In Season 2, highlights include a weekend workshop with Byb Chanel Bibene (to be rescheduled).

Pitch a project, dream up new ideas, network and share your upcoming events with like-minded artists who are passionate about building a more collaborative San Diego arts community. We're doing it live when we can and virtually when we can't!

  • Movement Explorations

Social DisDANCE movement exploration prompts are available on our Instagram and Facebook to keep you movin' and groovin' throughout the Stay at Home order.

These are big projects that need big support. Make a tax-deductible donation to support our mission to create a more collaborative movement-based arts scene in San Diego.
