IKAW/AKO (A Story of Us) by FILAM FILM CO / Edrian Pangilinan
IKAW/AKO (A Story of Us) is a vignette of solos + duets that explores ones journey of finding belonging & community.
When it comes to long-term advocacy and lasting social change, what keeps us uplifted to keep going are the communities that nourish and empower us along the way. Joining a community that simultaneously sustains you, each other and the world can be a pillar in fulfilling the changes we seek and tend to. Find your community, discover your power within and create social change together.
The Filam Film Collective, founded by Trixi Anne Agyao, Edrian Pangilinan, and Marissa Roxas in 2020, amplifies Filipino-American and AAPI voices in today’s media. Initially starting as a three-person team of close friends practicing their crafts on YouTube, the collective has evolved into a full-fledged physical community. It serves Filipino-American and fellow AAPI artists on their journey to grow in their artistic craft.
Beyond fostering artistic development, the collective provides a refuge through affinity spaces and activities, creating a supportive community where members can connect and thrive. The Filam Film Collective is dedicated to promoting diverse stories and perspectives, ensuring that Filipino-American and AAPI voices are heard and celebrated in the media landscape.
Credits include San Diego 48 Hr FIlm Project, ABS-CBN/TFC (The FIlipino Channel) San Diego Filipino Cinema, United AAPI Artist and DISCO RIOT.
